Arabsat participates in Arab Radio and Television Festival

The Festival is being organised in cooperation with Arabsat as well as Tunisian Radio and TV establishments.

ARABSAT is sponsoring and participating in the 19th Arab Radio and Television Festival, which will be held from 26th -29th April 2018 in Tunis, in the presence of a number of media professionals in the Middle East and North Africa region.

Speaking about the company’s longstanding relationship with the Arab States Broadcasting Union, which hosts the event, Eng. Khalid Bin Ahmed Balkheyour, CEO of Arabsat said: “We have an excellent working relationship with the Arab States Broadcasting Union and we have many common successful projects such as the global TV bouquet and MENOS project for Satellite Media Exchange. Arabsat has launched a satellite television platform from Tunisia in partnership with the Tunisian National Broadcasting Corporation (ONT), which is the culmination of our long strategic relations with this esteemed institution.”

The Festival is being organised in cooperation with the Tunisian Radio and Tunisian Television Establishments as well. It is aimed at contributing to the development of the Arab radio and TV production and enhancing the quality of work produced. The Festival welcomes both private and public entities to participate. Every edition has seen the festival grow bigger with more suppliers who want to target the North African market attending the event.

The festival includes an awards programme with several radio and TV and productions winning cash prizes for excellence, and a technical and programme-related workshop.

This year’s agenda will also see a special focus on Saudi Arabia with the Kingdom having opened up its doors for media and entertainment.
