Mohamed Youssif leaves YahLive, joins ABS

Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) announced the appointment of Mohamed Youssif as COO of ABS and President and MD of the Middle East. As ABS’ COO, Youssif will be responsible for global sales and revenue for the company as well as directly managing business development for the Middle East region.

“We are extremely pleased to have Mohamed onboard ABS.  His capabilities and knowledge of the industry will vastly improve our global sales performance. Mohamed’s extensive experiences and leadership qualities will be an invaluable asset.  We are confident he will lead us in the next phase of our growth of our business and services,” says Tom Choi, CEO of ABS, adding that Mohamed will be one of multiple Executive Committee members joining ABS this year.

Youssif previously served as the CEO of YahLive and as the CCO responsible for sales for Arabsat. He has also held executive positions at ICO Global Communications, Hughes and was the founder of MESAT Consultancy in Beirut.  Youssif holds a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Helwan University in Cairo.
