Gilat Satellite Networks to acquire DataPath

The deal is subject to regulatory approval, including clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Gilat Satellite Networks has signed a definitive agreement to acquire DataPath, Inc. (DPI), a US-based expert systems integrator with a focus on the DoD and US government sectors, which will be a core component of Gilat’s defence growth strategy. Gilat expects its annual revenues in the defence sector to increase by approximately $50m following the closing of the acquisition.

The transaction has been approved by the Gilat board of directors and by DataPath’s board of directors and stockholders. The acquisition is expected to close in Q3 2023.
