AsiaSat appoints General Counsel

Saphina Ho has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specialising in regional and corporate legal matters

AsiaSat has announced the appointment of its new General Counsel, Saphina Ho.

Succeeding Catherine Chang, Saphina will be a member of the management team, overseeing all legal affairs of the company.

“We welcome Saphina to AsiaSat with much enthusiasm, as her expertise and substantial legal experience will contribute to the company’s continued success. I am confident that Saphina will succeed in maintaining the company’s stature and reputation as the leading satellite operator in Asia,” said Andrew Jordan, President and Chief Executive Officer of AsiaSat.

“I would also like to thank Catherine Chang for over 23 years of outstanding and dedicated service to AsiaSat. Catherine has been a very strong leader, and one who has set up AsiaSat’s legal department and since 1994 led a professional team in making a hugely positive contribution to the continued growth of the company. I wish her all the best for her next chapter,” he added.

Saphina Ho has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, specialising in regional and corporate legal matters. Prior to joining AsiaSat, she was the Assistant General Counsel of Pacnet Global, and also worked for New World Mobility and Global One as in-house lawyer. She is a qualified solicitor in Hong Kong, and England and Wales, and has Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s Degree in Laws from the Manchester Metropolitan University
