Arabsat to participate in Africacom; to hold board meeting in Jordan

The 163rd Board of Directors meeting in Amman, on November 9-10 will be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Nasser Al-Hujailan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information in Saudi Arabia.

Arab Satellite Communications Organisation, Arabsat, will participate in the Africacom Conference & Exhibition to be held in Cape Town, South Africa between 13-15 November 2018.

Outlining the company’s presence in Africa, Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour President & CEO of Arabsat, said: “Our satellites cover the entire African continent providing TV, telecommunications and internet satellite services. Also, Arabsat has established a dedicated business unit for Africa. Arabsat will also showcase the capabilities of its state-of-the-art satellites, covering the entire African continent with full in Orbit – back up.”

Balkheyour added: “We are currently readying for two new satellite launches scheduled in the coming few months to further enhance our orbital positions. Also, we are working hard on several important strategic projects to keep up with our customers increasing needs.”

In other news, Arabsat held its Board of Directors meetings in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan along with nine participating Arab countries. The 163rd Board of Directors meeting in Amman, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on November 9-10 will be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Nasser Al-Hujailan, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information in Saudi Arabia.

On the agenda, Khalid Balkheyour said: “This meeting will discuss reports from specialised committees and other related subjects.”
