Russia-headquartered NetUP LLC, which provides IPTV and OTT solutions for hotels, vessels, TV operators and internet service providers, will be at CABSAT 2020 to demonstrate its new solutions while also seeking opportunities to secure new businesses or sign deals with distributors.
NetUP will demonstrate the NetUP Stream Processor, the company’s third generation of streaming content processing solutions. The architecture of the processor provides the ability to create multimedia processing graphs. Graph nodes are responsible for receiving, processing and streaming. The output of each node can be reused by many different nodes, thus saving hardware resources. The graph’s topology is automatically rebuilt on the fly when the incoming set of elementary streams, codecs and other parameters are changed, which provides stability for the application and allows to implement switching between streams without restarting the system.
The API is based on GraphQL – an even more advanced technology than REST.
The new version includes a brand new Web interface with responsive Web design. The same segments are used for both HLS and MPEG DASH streaming reducing the amount of space used while dramatically increasing storage duration. Other features include live TV recording, including adaptive streams, for use in Catch-up TV and Time-Shifted TV services; stream thumbnails generated on demand and instantly from the Web interface or via API; the ability to create a mosaic channel with arbitrary geometry, arrangement and size of grid cells, in a convenient Web editor; setting up graphic overlays; news ticker (scrolling text) insertion; advanced customisable UDP broadcast settings with Service name, Service Provider, PMT PID and elementary stream PIDs, Transport stream ID, Original network ID and Service ID; on-line monitoring of CPU/GPU load, memory used, stream bitrates, including elementary and other metrics; a convenient file manager where you can upload media files via the Web interface and display meta-information; and broadcast from files without the need for prior transcoding.
The NetUP Stream Processor is based on the NetUP SystemOS. The NetUP Stream Processor is now available for purchase. Customers using the older generation of the NetUP MultiMedia Processor or NetUP Transcoder have the option to upgrade.
