Arabsat appoints Dr Badr Alsuwaidan as President and CEO

Arabsat has named Dr Badr Alsuwaidan as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the space sector to the role. Dr Badr has built a distinguished career in satellite operations, engineering and strategic development, earning recognition for his leadership in advancing technological innovation.

Since 2020, he has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer at Arabsat, where he played a key role in boosting operational performance and strengthening the company’s technological capabilities. His contributions have been central to enhancing Arabsat’s standing in the global satellite communications market.

His appointment comes at a time of significant change in the space industry, with rapid advancements and new entrants reshaping the competitive landscape.
