Arabsat holds board meeting in Oman, announces new launches

The satellite operator is preparing the launch of two new satellites in the next few months to enhance its orbital position.

Arab Satellite Communications Organization (ARABSAT) held its 146th Board of Directors Session in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, on January 11 and 12, 2019, under the chairmanship of Dr. Nasser Al-Hujailan, Deputy Minister of Information in Saudi Arabia.

“This meeting will discuss 2019 budget and many other important topics,” said Khalid Bin Ahmed Balkheyour, President & CEO of Arabsat.

“We are currently preparing to launch two new satellites in the next few months to enhance our orbital locations. We are currently working hard on several strategic important projects to meet our customers’ needs. To ensure that we remain the best choice for customers in all services, we have also established a dedicated business unit to meet the needs of our customers in the African continent.”
