Arabsat signs deal with Profen to launch TV bouquet on Badr-4 satellite

The deal between Arabsat and the Turkish company will bring a larger variety of Turkish- and Arabic-language channels to viewers within the Arabsat footprint.

Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (Arabsat) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Turkey-based Profen Communications Technologies, which operates globally across all communication areas.

The agreement will see the launch of an additional TV bouquet that includes various channels on the Badr-4 satellite.

Commenting on the deal, Al-Hamidi Al-Enezi, CEO of Arabsat, said: “We are pleased to cooperate with Profen to provide high-quality TV broadcasting services within the coverage area of ​​our satellite fleet, in accordance with the latest international standards.”

This partnership was announced on Arabsat’s stand at IBC, where the operator is showcasing its new Badr-8 satellite services, scheduled to be launched early next year. Badr-8 is a state-of-the-art satellite equipped with advanced technology to provide better satellite services for customers, covering the Middle East and multiple regions of Asia, Europe and Africa.
