Du and Al Aan TV announce launch of HD channel on Arabsat

du is currently broadcasting the Standard Definition (SD) version of Al Aan TV on 7W orbital position and Jawna TV on Arabsat

Du announced at CABSAT 2018 that it has partnered with Al Aan TV to add its main channel on the Arabsat satellite in HD. Du is currently broadcasting the SD version of Al Aan TV on 7W orbital position and Jawna TV on Arabsat.

Supported by du’s HD DTH delivery service platform, one of the largest in the region, Al Aan TV is joining the other Free-To-Air channels offering its services in HD.

During the event, the telco will also demonstrate its managed broadcast services, and its integrated suite of satellite, fibre networks, media asset management and OTT solutions for high-quality management and distribution of content. The provision of such services is enabled by du’s world-class Teleport in Jebel Ali, Dubai, for which it was lauded with a Tier 3 certification under the World Teleport Association’s  Teleport Certification Program, the only teleport in the Middle East region to receive this certification.
