Es’hailSat ties with Viasat to boost VSAT connectivity across MENA

Viasat will avail itself of teleport services from Es’hailSat’s 50,000 sqm facility in Doha to provide VSAT services across the MENA region.

Qatar satellite company Es’hailSat has announced a collaboration with Viasat Energy Services, a business unit of Viasat, to expand its satellite capabilities. The partnership includes the addition of multiple transponders on Es’hail-1 satellite at the 25.5⁰ East hotspot, along with leveraging Teleport services from Es’hailSat’s extensive 50,000 sqm facility in Doha. This move aims to facilitate the provision of VSAT services throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Viasat Energy Services specialises in delivering optimised industry solutions, advanced global software, and secure communications infrastructure, enabling industrial companies to harness the business value of digital transformation. The company offers secure solutions encompassing IP connectivity, bandwidth-optimised OTT, and more, supporting the complete evolution of digital enablement with machine learning analytics.

Together, Viasat Energy Services and Es’hailSat are targeting sectors such as Government, Maritime, and Oil & Gas, addressing the consistent demand for reliable high-speed connectivity in remote and challenging environments.
