Enensys Technologies, a provider of media delivery solutions, has announced a strategic partnership with Eutelsat to deploy Eutelsat’ first DTH next-generation platform based on DVB-NIP (DVB Native IP) standard. This decision marks a major step in Eutelsat’s commitment to offering next-generation DTH services addressing multiscreen streaming. Enensys, recognised for its expertise in DVB-NIP with its contribution to standardisation, will provide the core infrastructure to enable Eutelsat to deploy DVB-NIP services via satellite.

Leveraging its proven track record in DVB-NIP and mABR solutions, Enensys will deliver a robust and flexible DVB-NIP platform tailored to Eutelsat’s specifications. The Mediacast Broadband part of the Enensys StarStream solution enables to generate and distribute DVB-NIP signalling along with DVB-I content, Linear TV streaming services, VOD and educational content over mABR technology.
By implementing DVB-NIP Enensys platform, Eutelsat can empower DTH service operators to unlock new revenue streams by extending their reach to multiscreen devices. Moreover, the platform makes it possible to deliver educational content to unconnected areas at low cost, paving the way for greater accessibility and inclusion.

The Enensys platform has been deployed at Eutelsat’s Rambouillet Teleport and is ready to provide next-generation DTH services across the world. A live demonstration of the potentiality of the DVB-NIP Standard leveraging the Enensys platform will be presented on Eutelsat’s booth at the upcoming IBC tradeshow from September 12 to 15.
