Eutelsat has renewed several satellite capacity agreements with Viewsat, reinforcing a long-standing partnership focused on supporting the continued development of the broadcast sector in Egypt and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

The renewed collaboration centres on the Eutelsat 7/8° West video hotspot, where the two companies will continue delivering broadcast services tailored to Egyptian channels. The agreements highlight Egypt’s importance within Eutelsat’s regional video strategy and reflect the sustained momentum of the companies’ relationship.

Viewsat, part of the ViewMedia group, provides broadcasters with a range of cost-efficient services spanning managed playout, online streaming and satellite distribution. By combining Viewsat’s media delivery expertise with Eutelsat’s satellite infrastructure, the partnership is designed to offer broadcasters operational flexibility and service continuity in a rapidly evolving market.

The Eutelsat 7/8° West video neighbourhood remains a key broadcast position in the region, reaching around 66m satellite TV homes and carrying more than 950 channels. The companies said that the platform continues to play a central role in regional content distribution.

Commenting on the deal, Raymond E. Rahm, RVP MENA Sales of Eutelsat’s Video Business Unit, said:These renewed agreements further underline the strength of the long-term partnership between Eutelsat and Viewsat. Together, we remain focused on sustainable growth, market development, and delivering reliable satellite solutions to broadcasters and media customers across Egypt and the wider MENA region.”

Awaes Jaswal, Chief Executive Officer of Viewsat, added: “We are delighted to renew our various capacity agreements with Eutelsat across its satellites serving the East and MENA beams. This renewal demonstrates the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to growing the business in Egypt, which remains a key market for Viewsat. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Eutelsat and expanding our services together.”
