Commercis, a provider of connectivity and technology solutions, has announced the appointment of satellite executive Steve Tunnicliffe to its board. In his new role as advisor, Tunnicliffe will collaborate closely with the management team, offering strategic insights and managerial expertise to optimise operations, drive innovation, and seize emerging opportunities.
Commercis is the parent company of Talia, DataGrid Network and Quika.
With a career spanning more than 30 years in the telecommunications, satellite, and broadcast industries, Steve Tunnicliffe brings a wealth of experience in shaping effective strategies and driving business success. Until recently, he served as the Senior Vice President, Global Sales for ST Engineering iDirect, a satellite ground segment technology provider, where he held various executive and senior leadership roles during his 16-year tenure.
Prior to his time at iDirect, Tunnicliffe contributed significantly to BT Global Services and the former satellite division of Deutsche Telekom (Plenexis), delivering innovative connectivity solutions in diverse sectors, including defence, government, maritime, aviation, telecom, and enterprise markets. His customer-centric approach and ability to provide compelling propositions have earned him widespread respect and trust among customers and partners alike.
In his advisory capacity at Commercis, Tunnicliffe will work closely with the leadership team to shape and execute strategies that foster growth, enhance operational efficiency, and maximise opportunities for success. His vision aligns seamlessly with Commercis’s commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business practices.
