Globalsat Group has entered into an agreement with Amazon Leo, Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, to provide advanced satellite internet services to enterprise customers across the Americas. Under the partnership, Globalsat Group will operate as an authorised reseller, combining Amazon’s next-generation satellite infrastructure with its own regional market expertise to expand reliable connectivity for businesses operating in remote and underserved locations.
Amazon Leo is designed to deliver high-speed, low-latency broadband services to users beyond the coverage of traditional terrestrial networks. The system is powered by a large constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit and is intended to serve residential, commercial and government customers requiring dependable and wide-reaching connectivity.
J. Alberto Palacios, chief executive and founder of Globalsat Group, said: “This agreement with Amazon Leo represents a turning point for satellite connectivity in the markets we serve. By combining next-generation satellite technology with our regional presence and operational experience, we can offer our customers solutions designed to deliver high performance, even in the most challenging environments.”
The Amazon Leo network is engineered to meet stringent enterprise requirements for performance, reliability and security. Compared with conventional satellite systems, it offers lower latency, higher bandwidth and broader coverage, supporting real-time applications, remote site management and hybrid network structures. The network also provides more consistent and predictable performance, which is essential for modern industrial operations in isolated areas.
Customers will access the service through a range of compact, high-performance antenna systems, including the Leo Nano, Leo Pro and Leo Ultra models. The Leo Ultra terminal delivers the highest capacity in the lineup, supporting download speeds of up to 1 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 400 Mbps, enabling bandwidth-intensive enterprise applications.
Globalsat Group plans to integrate Amazon Leo into its existing portfolio of connectivity and communications services tailored to key industries throughout the Americas. These sectors include mining, maritime transport, agriculture, forestry, energy production, oil and gas, and other industrial operations that frequently require reliable communications in remote environments.
The partnership is expected to help enterprise customers reduce latency for critical applications, enhance network reliability at isolated or hard-to-access facilities, and maintain operational continuity by using satellite connectivity as either a primary link or a backup system. Businesses will also be able to scale operations more efficiently without the need for costly infrastructure deployment, while managing connectivity through a unified and secure network architecture.
Palacios emphasized that the initiative aligns with the company’s broader mission to deliver dependable connectivity solutions regardless of geographic challenges, adding that the service will create new opportunities for organizations operating in some of the most difficult-to-reach locations across the region.
