During the Global Symposium of Regulators 2024, organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Kampala, Uganda, the Global Satellite Operators Association (GSOA) released its latest White Paper titled “New Satellite Technologies for Transformative Connectivity.” This detailed report delves into the cutting-edge advancements propelling the satellite communications sector forward.
The paper outlines various technological innovations that are enhancing the versatility and cost-effectiveness of satellite communications, addressing the growing need for seamless, reliable and resilient connectivity. These advancements are ushering in a new era for the connectivity and communications ecosystem, aiding in bridging the digital divide and fostering global inclusivity.
As digital connectivity becomes a cornerstone of economic growth and societal development, advancements in satellite communications are pivotal in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
