Kymeta along with its partners Paradigm and Lepton Global Solutions has announced the availability of a fully integrated MANTA+ terminal.
The MANTA+ solution is created through the integration of Kymeta’s flat-panel antenna with the Paradigm Interface Module (PIM), Cradlepoint routing technology and an iDirect X7 integrated modem.
The solution offers hybrid cellular-satellite communications capabilities to the U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF) community and is now available commercially.
The solution provides constant connectivity by switching between satellite, cellular, and Wi-Fi networks. Its low-profile nature allows for smooth installation and operation of the system, providing connectivity without the challenges of learning new systems when having to switch between types of connectivity. The solution switches between satellite, cellular, and Wi-Fi without a visible gap in communications operations.
The solution will be showcased at the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference on Tuesday, May 21 and by appointment on Wednesday, May 22, outside the convention centre. The demo will highlight the of the solution, from the static use case to rooftop integration and conclude with a short COTM display.
Commenting on the new solution, David Harrower, Sr. Vice President of Global Sales, Kymeta said: “We are excited to be partnered with Paradigm and Lepton Global Solutions to bring the MANTA+ to the commercial market. Paradigm’s innovative approach has resulted in a fully integrated satcom solution that is flexible and easy to use and will serve multiple markets and applications.”
Speaking on the partnership, Managing Director of Paradigm, Ulf Sandberg noted: “To be adopted by such an experienced customer operating in truly challenging environments clearly demonstrates the capability of this terminal for both government and commercial sectors. The MANTA+ also demonstrates how the PIM is continuing to make satcom simple for all users.”
Managing Partner at Lepton Global Solutions, Rob Weitendorf added: “Paradigm’s interface and integration work has further evolved the capabilities of Kymeta’s next-generation antenna. The interoperable MANTA+ fills a significant gap in mission critical communications operations for our SOF customer.”
