Quicklink will all be showcasing a variety of products, solutions at the Yahsat stand (B2-10) and the Safa Telecom stand (201), both in Hall 2.
On the Safa stand, the company will be displaying the range of live products which includes the 3008 HD Encoder and Merlin Backpack. The company aims to demonstrate a live stream that will be played out through the 3008 1U server using both of the encoders, along with demonstrating compatibility with partners Thuraya, Inmarsat BGAN and Yahsat.
At the Yahsat stand, Quicklink will be filming live video outside and streaming to the 1U encoder over the Yahsat network in full 1080i HD, through an SDI output and played out live on the stand. Additionally outside of the venue Quicklink will have a black Mercedes 4×4 which will be equipped with a mounted Dawson antenna on the roof and a Quicklink encoder, decoder and playout server.
Peter Watling from Quicklink stated: “Our solution is proven over Eutelsat’s News Spotter Ka-band throughout Europe; at CABSAT, we are showcasing how it works over the Yahsat network in the Middle East and Africa”.
