Lockheed Martin has named Christopher J. Wronsky as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, effective September 1.
He will also serve as a corporate officer and report directly to Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Jim Taiclet.
Wronsky succeeds Greg A. Karol, who will retire after a transition period. Karol will retire with nearly four decades of service to Lockheed Martin.
Wronsky has been with Lockheed Martin for more than 35 years and has served in positions of increasing responsibility in the business areas and internationally. He is the current Vice President of Lockheed Martin’s Rotary and Mission Systems Human Resources organisation, where he oversees strategy for 35,000 employees. His accomplishments at RMS include the successful integration of several organisations including the Sikorsky Aircraft acquisition. Prior to that, he served as the initial Vice President of International HR, based in London.
Jim Taiclet said: “Chris has a proven track record of strong leadership and effective human resources strategy. He understands the imperative of recruiting, developing and retaining the top talent needed to deliver the innovative 21st Century Security solutions that our customers need to stay ahead of ready.”
Wronsky will be responsible for global human resources strategy and for cultivating talent for Lockheed Martin’s diverse team of more than 116,000 people around the world. His portfolio will include benefits, compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, labour relations, talent and organisational capability, and workforce solutions and intelligence. He will also oversee the Global Security organisation.
