Marlink has introduced Sealink Multi-LEO, a new hybrid connectivity solution that combines multiple low Earth orbit satellite networks under a single, fully managed service model for shipowners and maritime operators.
The new offering integrates capacity from Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb into one subscription, with plans to incorporate additional LEO networks as they become available. By providing a unified monthly data allowance across multiple satellite systems, the service is designed to reduce the operational and commercial complexity of managing separate contracts and parallel connections.
Sealink Multi-LEO gives shipowners and operators access to secure, high-throughput, and low-latency LEO connectivity through one service model and commercial framework. By delivering a single data allowance across multiple LEO solutions under one monthly subscription, the service addresses the operational, technical and commercial complexity associated with managing parallel satellite services, while improving link availability and resilience across global trading routes.
The service offers predictable pricing for high-speed onboard connectivity and can be deployed on individual vessels or configured through optional pooling models that allow fleets to share data allowances across multiple ships. Data packages range from 500 gigabytes to 10 terabytes, enabling operators to tailor usage to different operational needs while maintaining consistent service standards.
Carrier-agnostic by design, Sealink Multi-LEO uses intelligent orchestration to select the most suitable network based on performance, coverage and availability. This ensures seamless connectivity across changing routes and conditions, supporting business-critical applications and crew welfare services at sea.
The launch underscores the expanding role of LEO satellite technology in advancing maritime digitalisation and operational efficiency. The service is delivered through Marlink’s Possibility Platform, which provides centralised management of connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud and IT services.
Tore Morten Olsen, President Maritime at Marlink, said: “Demand for LEO connectivity continues to grow as shipowners look for higher performance and greater predictability at sea. With Sealink Multi-LEO, we are bringing together leading LEO networks into a single, fully managed service model that simplifies operations while delivering the performance and resilience our customers expect. Built on Marlink’s long experience of network orchestration, Sealink Multi-LEO serves as a new generation of connectivity, ensuring LEO services are delivered in a way that is operationally consistent, secure.”
