The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), Dubai South’s dedicated aerospace platform, has announced the successful completion of the first phase of its Aerospace Supply Chain zone, marking a significant milestone in the emirate’s efforts to boost its aviation sector. The newly completed phase includes 11 state-of-the-art facilities spread over 1,291,000 sqft, designed to support the growing needs of aviation-related businesses.
This phase, part of a landside-free zone solution, is tailored to accommodate engine shops, component and landing gear MROs (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) and workshop solutions. The development comes in response to heightened demand from global aviation companies seeking to establish a foothold in MBRAH and benefit from its advanced infrastructure.
Further expansion is already in progress, with 1,721,000 sqft of additional space under development. Among the upcoming projects is the Suppliers Complex—the region’s first vertical aerospace facility—set to house 88 leasable units across three levels. Targeting startups and SMEs in maintenance, aircraft parts trading, and drone technologies, the complex is expected to be completed by Q2 2026.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, said: “The demand for aviation-related services, particularly MROs, has significantly increased in recent years, and we have seen strong interest from companies looking to establish or expand their businesses at MBRAH. With the future completion of Al Maktoum International Airport, this demand is expected to rise even further. We are fully prepared to meet the needs of these companies through both our completed and upcoming facilities. At MBRAH, we remain committed to investing in advanced infrastructure and services, in line with our leadership’s vision to solidify Dubai’s position as the capital of aviation.”
Strategically located within Dubai South, MBRAH serves as a key free-zone destination for global aerospace leaders, including commercial airlines, private jet operators, and aviation service providers. The hub also hosts maintenance centres and training academies, aligning with Dubai’s broader vision to position itself as the capital of global aviation.
