The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Satellite Company Shammas inaugurated the Saudi satellite BadrSat, the first Saudi satellite owned by the private sector, as reported by the Saudi Gazette.
The report stated that at the inaugural ceremony, a documentary film about BadrSat was screened including its coverage over the Middle East, North and Central Africa and Europe.
Meflah AlHaftaa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BadrSat, confirmed that good offers will be available for satellite channels that opt to move to BadrSat including the availability of services to them in Saudi Arabia through the media city, Shammas.
During the ceremony, a seminar was held on the role of space technology to address local and international crises. Also present were the president of the Saudi Producers and Producers Association, Mohamed Al-Ghamdi, and Abdulrahman Al-Hazza, Chairman of the Radio and Television Organisation.
