The board of directors of Hispasat has elected Elena Pisonero as the company’s new chairperson.
Elena Pisonero has a degree in Economics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has completed several graduate courses in leadership and management at Stanford, Harvard and Columbia universities. Pisonero has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors. She has worked for large multinational companies such as Siemens and KPMG in the private sector.
She has held various positions in organisations such as the Royal Institute of Elcano, Casa Asia, ESADE or the Institute of Economic Studies.
The group consolidated its position in Europe, America and Northern Africa with the Hispasat 1E satellite, which has 53 simultaneous transponders in Ku and Ka-bands, a 15-year life cycle and a 5.27-ton launching mass. The estimated investment for this satellite exceeds 200 million Euros.
The Hispasat Group’s satellite fleet offers a range of services for its customers, such as content distribution, teleteaching, telemedicine, video streaming, broadband services in land and maritime environments, videoconferencing and corporate networks.
