OQ Technology, a 5G NTN IoT LEO satellite operator, has entered into a distributor agreement with Aramco Digital, the technology innovation arm of Aramco. Under this collaboration, Aramco Digital will serve as an official distributor of OQ Technology’s non-terrestrial network (NTN) IoT solutions, facilitating satellite-powered IoT connectivity across industries in Saudi Arabia.
This partnership will play a critical role in enhancing industrial IoT connectivity, particularly in remote areas where conventional terrestrial networks are unavailable. By distributing OQ Technology’s low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-powered NB-IoT solutions, Aramco Digital will enable businesses to access reliable and scalable connectivity, driving efficiency and digital transformation across key sectors.
The agreement is expected to benefit industries such as energy, mining, logistics and infrastructure by providing real-time data transmission and advanced asset monitoring capabilities. Additionally, the integration of satellite IoT solutions into Aramco Digital’s ecosystem will optimise operations, enhance automation and support sustainability initiatives.
Both companies will also explore new business models and technological advancements to accelerate the digitalisation of industrial operations.
