SES continues broadcast renewal streak in Europe

SES' renewed multi-year contracts with Austria’s largest media provider and public broadcaster ORF, and Telekom Srbija.

SES has signed two more broadcast renewal deals with major partners in Europe, including Austrian public broadcaster ORF and Telekom Srbija. These agreements follow on the heels of the extended partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery in Germany and Austria which the company announced earlier this week.

SES’ multi-year renewal with Austria’s largest media provider and public broadcaster ORF secures capacity in SES’s prime TV neighborhood at 19.2 degrees East. The agreement covers the satellite transmission of ORF’s TV offerings as well as ORF’s portfolio of radio channels.

The satellite operator also extended its contract with Telekom Srbija for another four years for satellite services from SES’s ASTRA 3C satellite at 23.5 degrees East. SES will continue providing multi-transponder capacity to enable Telekom Srbija to deliver an SD and HD pay-TV channel offering across Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and North Macedonia as part of its M:Sat TV platform. The agreement also includes uplink and backup services for transponders and redundant fiber connectivity for the entire platform.
