SpaceX raises $1.9bn in funding

The private rocket company will have an equity value of $46bn after the transaction.

SpaceX has raised $1.9bn in new funding, according to a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

This would be the largest single fundraising round to date by SpaceX, according to PitchBook data.

The funding round reportedly pegged the post-money valuation of SpaceX at $46bn, according to Bloomberg.

However, it was not revealed as to who all participated in the funding round.

The funding comes as SpaceX and NASA are targetting no earlier than October 23 for the first operational flight with astronauts of the Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket to the International Space Station as a part of the agency’s Commercial Crew Program.
