STC Group has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with iBASIS, a provider of communications solutions for global operators and digital players, aiming to enhance the provision of a seamless global communication experience through Internet of Things (IoT) technology in the MENA region. The signing was announced during the Capacity Middle East event, a premier gathering for digital infrastructure leaders and experts from MENA and beyond, held in Dubai from February 6 to 8.

This collaboration will leverage iBASIS’s expertise and prominent position in the IoT realm to empower IoT technology developers in Europe and America to extend their reach into the MENA market through STC. By enhancing M2M connectivity and enabling international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to explore growth avenues in MENA, the partnership aims to foster the expansion of IoT technologies. It will provide IoT developers with flexible communication services for swift expansion, thereby fostering economic growth and diversifying investment prospects in the region.

The alliance is poised to drive innovation and digital transformation, catering to evolving customer needs, particularly in the smart device industry. Furthermore, it will stimulate the development of new solutions and reinforce IoT connectivity in MENA to address the escalating demands of businesses. This collaboration underscores a commitment to fostering digital innovation and creating a more interconnected world to pave the way for future IoT services.

Aligned with the Saudi Vision 2030, this MoU and STC Group’s substantial investments in digital infrastructure development are geared towards propelling digital transformation and positioning the Kingdom as a global digital hub, bridging Asia, Africa, and Europe continents.
