Telecom Egypt and Huawei forge partnership to roll out 5G network

Through the collaboration with Telecom Egypt, Huawei has established 5G sites in hotspot areas across Egypt.

Telecom Egypt, the first integrated operator of communications and Information Technology services in Egypt, and Huawei have announced a strategic partnership to deploy a cutting-edge 5G network across the country, during Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024).

This collaboration underscores Telecom Egypt’s ongoing dedication to enhancing its digital offerings and delivering innovative solutions to its customers through the utilisation of 5G technology. The introduction of the 5G network, renowned for its unparalleled internet speed and wider bandwidth, promises to significantly elevate user experiences by ensuring seamless communication, even during peak demand, thanks to lower latency compared to previous generations.

The deployment of 5G networks will empower Telecom Egypt to provide innovative solutions and services tailored to various sectors and industries requiring real-time decision-making capabilities, including manufacturing, telehealth, education, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Huawei will leverage its latest state-of-the-art network solutions, including 5G wireless, 5G service-oriented core, and 5G-ready transport network, to facilitate the smooth adoption of 5G technology and unlock its full potential.

Through the partnership with Telecom Egypt, Huawei has already established 5G sites in key locations across Egypt, utilizing its most advanced wireless technologies to achieve maximum data transfer rates (throughput) in line with theoretical capacities based on available spectrum.
