Türk Telekom has signed a goodwill agreement with the multinational information solutions and systems manufacturer ZTE and technology company Netaş, during a GSMA Mobile World Congress.
As a result, it will work with the two companies, which are solution partners in the fields of access, IPTV and end devices, to implement new generation technologies and applications in telecoms in Turkey.
Commenting on the deal, Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal said: “As Turkey’s leading telecommunications company, we cooperate with the world’s leading technology companies, and we are working hard to bring our country together with new generation technologies. One of the companies with which we collaborated to accelerate Turkey’s digital transformation was the local technology company Netaş and its global partner ZTE. I wish that the goodwill agreement that we signed with ZTE and Netaş, which are our infrastructure solution partners in the fields of access, IPTV and end devices, for the implementation of new generation technologies in our country, will be beneficial.”
Xiao Ming, Head of International Business at ZTE Corporation, added: “Until now, we have implemented high and new technologies together with Türk Telekom, Turkey’s valuable telecommunications company, and have accomplished successful projects. In the next period, we aim to continue to realise our innovative technologies and solutions together with Türk Telekom. I would like to express that I am happy and proud of the contract we signed for the continuation of our cooperation.”
Peng Aiguang, Netaş chairman of the board of directors and ZTE Corporation Europe and America Region President, added: “I would like to state that I am very happy with the goodwill agreement that we signed with Türk Telekom in order to implement projects that incorporate new generation technologies and domestic products in the coming period, with our knowledge and experience both globally and in Turkey.”
