Vodafone Turkey appoints Yago Lopez as Executive Vice President

He most recently served as general manager of Technology, Strategy and Innovation at TPG Telecom following the merger with Vodafone Hutchison Australia.

Vodafone Turkey has appointed Yago Lopez as Executive Vice President of the network.

Lopez has more than 15 years of international experience in the telecom industry, most recently as the general manager of technology, strategy and innovation at TPG Telecom in Sydney, Australia.

During his tenure, he spearheaded efforts to roll out 5G and ensure that 85% of the population in Australia’s major cities use 5G.

He has also held a number of positions at Vodafone in Australia, Ireland, Germany and Spain.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the development of Vodafone Turkey’s network and data processing infrastructure in order to provide the technologies and services of the future.

Lopez also successfully led the 4G transition at Vodafone Ireland in 2012 before joining Vodafone Hutchison Australia a year later.
