
Zain KSA, a telecom and digital solutions provider in Saudi Arabia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia to enhance 5G and 5G-Advanced capabilities using Cloud RAN and AI RAN technologies. The agreement, finalised during LEAP 2025 in Riyadh, aims to accelerate digital transformation in the telecom sector and build a future-ready infrastructure supporting open wireless networks.
The partnership aligns with Zain KSA’s strategy to integrate the latest technologies into its network, ensuring greater efficiency and performance. Cloud RAN offers a flexible and scalable infrastructure that enhances network reliability, while AI RAN introduces advanced automation and real-time data analytics, improving user experience and operational efficiency. This initiative will also support next-generation technologies, including 6G, IoT and AI.

Recently, Zain KSA and Nokia conducted the first-ever live trial of 5G-Advanced Cloud RAN technology in Saudi Arabia.
