Intellian, in partnership with Eutelsat, has unveiled a new Dual User Terminal (Dual UT) solution for its Enterprise Flat Panel Series, designed to support the premium Explorer service plan on the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO network.
The solution is tailored for maritime applications and enables the use of two OW11FMs paired with a single CNX-Rack to deliver two independent 100 x 20 Mbps connections. By allowing two user terminals to operate simultaneously, the system significantly increases throughput, addressing rising demand for digital operations, crew welfare, and premium onboard connectivity services.
According to the companies, the Dual UT solution builds on existing Enterprise Series terminals while using a single CNX-Rack, enabling high-capacity and resilient connectivity without requiring major changes to installation workflows. The setup also simplifies below-deck integration, making it easier for maritime operators to deploy and scale their connectivity systems.
At the core of the solution, the CNX-Rack consolidates indoor networking into a unified platform and supports flexible deployment models. These include basic configurations without APN or VLAN, single VLAN-enabled setups, and more complex multi-APN configurations, allowing operators to tailor network performance and traffic management to specific operational needs.
The Dual UT solution is expected to benefit a wide range of maritime sectors, including cruise and passenger vessels requiring enhanced guest connectivity, leisure and yachting segments seeking premium onboard experiences, and merchant fleets focused on improving crew welfare through better communication services. It is also suited for energy and offshore support vessels that depend on reliable, mission-critical communications.
By enabling scalable performance growth without the need for traffic bonding or additional rack space, the solution offers a streamlined path for operators to expand bandwidth capacity in line with evolving demands.
The Dual User Terminal solution is now commercially available, with further details accessible through Intellian account managers.
