Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt
The initiative is part of the Emirates Mission to the Asteroid Belt and marks one of the largest space initiatives undertaken by the UAE.
The mission aims to conduct close flybys of seven main belt asteroids before landing on Justitia.
Through the campaign, the UAE Space Agency will allow private sector companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs to be part of the mission.
More than 30 private companies will participate in the first phase of Emirates Mission to Asteroid Belt.
The project aims to develop a spacecraft in the coming years and then launch it in 2028 to study various asteroids.
