At its heart is a satellite router which reportedly processes 28,000 packets per second and can be configured as a TDM/TDMA hub for up to 252 users (expandable to 8,000 and 64,000) or a hubless mesh node or a 86 Mbps IP DVB-S2 modem
The UHP VSAT platform is, the company claims, a cost-disruptive technology, with a single hardware platform covering a range of technologies from TDM/TDMA to Hubless Mesh TDMA and pure or dynamic SCPC (DAMA).
The platform has reportedly been successfully deployed in 60+ networks across the world. The platform can, the company claims, handle very high speed transmissions (up to 86 Mbps sustained IP throughput) and supports VLAN, multi-level QoS, codec-independent handling of real-time traffic and TCP acceleration.
