Bahrain Network (BNET), the national telecommunications infrastructure company, has announced a number of new appointments set to join the company’s executive team.
The appointments will see Laalea Rostom as Director of Procurement and Logistics, Ahmed Khalaf as Director of Power and Buildings and Yusuf Buti as Director of Corporate Security.
Speaking about the new appointments, Ahmed Jaber Aldoseri, CEO of BNET, said: “We are pleased to welcome the new members, who form a solid group of experienced and distinguished executives that will add value to our organisation, reinforcing BNET`s efforts to achieve further growth and success towards achieving its strategic vision of creating a prosperous community where everyone is connected.”
Laalea Rostom brings more than 15 years of experience in the field of resource management, where she held the positions of Chief of Tenders and Contracts Department, Chief of Material Management Department and many other managerial positions in the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).
Rostom added: “It gives me great pleasure to be joining BNET and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr Ahmed Jaber Aldoseri, CEO of BNET and all BNET’s executive team, for their confidence. I look forward to working closely with the company’s management team and employees to achieve further success to contribute to BNET’s vision.”
Ahmed Khalaf brings over 16 years of experience in civil engineering, during which he held several positions. Khalaf previously held the position of Head of Power and Building Projects at BNET and Head of Buildings and Power Development at Batelco, along with many other positions.
Khalaf stated: “It gives me great pleasure to be joining BNET’s executive team, being a part of BNET since the start has contributed to refining many of my practical and personal aspects and I look forward to contributing my experience towards the success of the company and further achieving its strategic goals.”
Yusuf Buti is an experienced technology and strategy leader with more than 21 years of experience. He held several notable positions in the past including Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director at the Harbor House Consultancy, as well as Head of Media Technology, Engineering and Operation at Twofour54, Abu Dhabi Media Authority.
Buti commented: “I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to BNET’s executive team, I’m pleased to join BNET and I look forward to harnessing my experience and skills to contribute to achieving its vision in cooperation with all the employees towards success.”
BNET aims, through its people, to continue its trajectory of growth and works towards realising the national goals by implementing strategies to elevate the telecom sector in Bahrain.
