Gilat Satellite Networks has announced that its US-based subsidiary, Wavestream, has been awarded a substantial contract of nearly $20m by the United States Army. This contract is designated for the ongoing programme aimed at sustaining satellite connectivity anytime, anywhere.
Wavestream’s Solid State Amplifier (SSPA), specifically engineered to withstand the most challenging environments, plays a pivotal role in the success of the programme. The Satellite Transportable Terminals (STTs) utilised in this initiative benefit from Wavestream’s ruggedised SSPA, enabling a robust “Communications-on-the-Pause” solution across diverse climates and conditions worldwide.
