MEASAT announces new CTO

Dr. Kong will focus on developing MEASAT’s long term technology strategy. He will be responsible for understanding technology trends in the satellite and communication sectors, and in developing opportunities

Dr-Edmund-KongMEASAT has announced the appointment of Dr. Edmund Kong as the company’s Chief Technology Officer.

Dr. Kong will focus on developing MEASAT’s long term technology strategy. He will be responsible for understanding technology trends in the satellite and communication sectors, and in developing opportunities for MEASAT. Dr. Kong will also be working with Dr. Ali on new satellite procurements.

Dr. Kong holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) while spending four years at MIT Space Systems Laboratory as Research Scientist; and most recently, working at a leading aerospace manufacturer as Product Line Chief Engineer. He has 20 years of experience in the satellite industry.
