Microwave Technologies, LLC, renowned for its highly efficient Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) and Block Upconverters (BUCs), has appointed Alex Fitzgerald as the new Regional Vice President of Sales for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region (EMEA), according to a report by Sat News.
With a robust market presence and a globally recognized brand, Mission Microwave specialises in solid-state amplifiers for satellite communications networks. The addition of Alex Fitzgerald to the sales team is aimed at creating fresh opportunities for the utilization of SSPAs in the burgeoning EMEA markets. Recent product releases, tailored for this region, include high-power SSPA designs replacing legacy traveling wave tube amplifiers up to 1000 watts for gateways and broadcast hubs.
Fitzgerald, holding an MBA from the University of Essex, brings over two decades of experience in the satellite industry, supplying SATCOM solutions. His expertise spans both digital and RF products used in satellite Earth stations, gateways, and VSAT terminals. Formerly serving as Vice President of Sales for Comtech Telecommunications, Alex supported commercial and government customers in the EMEA region.
