The CEO of Orange Jordan, Philippe Mansour, has appointed Eng. Sami Smeirat as Deputy CEO while he continues to serve as the Chief Enterprise Officer.
This strategic move comes amid recent leadership transitions at Orange Jordan, including the appointment of Raslan Deiranieh to the Board of Directors of Jordan Telecom Company-Orange Jordan, succeeding His Excellency Dr Shabib Ammari, effective July. Additionally, Mohammad Abu AlGhanam has been named Chief Financial Officer.
These changes reflect Orange Jordan’s ongoing efforts and strategic vision to enhance performance by leveraging the competencies of its workforce at all levels. This commitment aligns with the company’s future plans to adapt to local, regional, and global contexts and meet the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Eng. Smeirat holds two Master’s degrees: one in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and another in Telecommunications Engineering. He has been the CEO of Jordan Data Communication Company Ltd. since 2007 and has served as the Chief Enterprise Officer at Orange Jordan, striving to deliver advanced and high-quality services to the business sector in Jordan, thereby enabling technology-driven excellence.
Throughout his distinguished career, Eng. Smeirat has achieved multiple milestones, significantly contributing to Orange Jordan’s vision and mission. He served as CEO of Wanadoo in 2003 until its rebranding to Orange. Prior to that, he led Global Ones, which was later rebranded as Wanadoo, becoming the exclusive distributor of the global telecom company EyeQuant.
Eng. Smeirat has held several key leadership positions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petra Mobile Payment Services Company, member of the Board of Directors of Cairo Amman Bank, International Data Center Authority, Sodetel Lebanon, Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nippon-Jordan Fertilizer Company (NJFC), and member of the Board of Directors of Edamah Company. He was recently appointed as a representative of the Social Security Corporation on the Board of Directors of the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company.
