Singapore-based satellite broadcast solutions manufacturer Global Invacom Ltd has announced the launch of its Global Skyware VSAT Fiber LINK system. This system provides a new compact, low-cost fiber solution for VSAT applications.
The manufacturer claims that VSAT users no longer need to be restricted by the limitations of coax cable and can enjoy the many benefits of fiber at a reasonable cost. The VSAT Fiber LINK extension system enables the transmission of Bi-directional L-Band and 10MHz reference signals to and from the BUC/LNB via a single fiber.
The system is equipped with a power inserter, which enables the powering of BUC/LNB directly without the use of external components.
For special applications, the system can be supplied with Ethernet or Serial data for SNMP management and control.
The VSAT Fiber LINK system is compact and weatherproof; the antenna unit is housed in a compact IP65-rated enclosure and is supplied with a pole mount kit for easy installation on a standard dish stand.
