Prior to joining the NASA Astronaut Candidate Class training programme, AlMatrooshi and AlMulla underwent extensive in-house training at MBRSC.
Their training encompassed a wide array of critical skills, including spacewalking, robotics, space station systems, T-38 jet proficiency, and Russian language.
The event also saw the participation of astronauts Hazzaa AlMansoori, Astronauts Office Manager, MBRSC; Nora AlMatrooshi, and Mohammad AlMulla.
MBRSC will take part in the Human Exploration Research Analogue project by sending an Emirati crew to live in a habitat in Houston.
