Thuraya joins Mobile Satellite Users Association

Thuraya brings “unique portfolio”, says group

Thuraya has joined the Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA)  as a corporate member. MSUA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the interests of the users of mobile satellite services (MSS) worldwide.

“MSUA is very pleased to welcome Thuraya as an active corporate member to our association,” says Tim Farrar, MSUA’s President. “Thuraya brings a unique portfolio of MSS to geographies with increasing demands for reliable voice and data communications. Thuraya understands the specific needs of mobile satellite users and will help MSUA support the critical communication needs of users around the world.”

Samer Halawi, Thuraya’s CEO, adds: “We believe that through engagement with MSUA, we can build on our legacy to take innovation in the mobile satellite industry to the next level. As a member, Thuraya will join the existing group of global satellite operators and providers including Airbus Defence & Space, Cobham Satcom, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp, Globalstar, Hughes Network Systems, John Deere, KVH Industries, Mackay Communications and ViaSat.
