Yahsat has hosted a distinguished delegation from the Government of South Africa, led by His Excellency Deputy President Paul Mashatile. The purpose of the meeting was to foster closer collaboration in the satellite communications sector, showcasing the country’s ongoing commitment to enhancing communication services by tapping into the UAE’s advanced satcom sector and intelligent data solutions services.
Comprising senior government ministers, department heads, and representatives from Brainwave Projects SA, Yahsat’s satellite broadband solutions provider in South Africa, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions. These discussions underscore Yahsat’s established reputation in Africa as an innovative and cost-effective satellite communications technology and service provider.
Welcoming the delegation were prominent figures including Karim Sabbagh, Managing Director Designate of SPACE42, Ali Al Hashemi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Yahsat, Hasan Al Hosani, Managing Director of Bayanat, and Sulaiman Al Ali, Chief Commercial Officer of Yahsat.

The visit served as an opportunity for both parties to explore potential avenues for Yahsat to expand its footprint in South Africa, aligning with the government’s objectives to enhance connectivity nationwide.
